Win at Life Wisdom

For more than ten years, Mark Evans has been telling stories on the radio - many from the world of sports - that teach life lessons. Now those stories come to life on the written page, in an entertaining, easy-to-use format that will help you find your way to next level living.

Designed to help the reader interact with the real life issues that we all face, each story is followed by a “Use It Today” section, a short essay to stimulate the reader’s interaction with the central truth of the story. At the end of each day’s entry, a “60 Second Action Step” encourages thoughtful, personalized application - the best pathway toward a successful, growing life.

This is a book you’ll scribble and write in, and return to over and over again. Spend 15 minutes a day improving your life. It’s an investment that will pay rich dividends for years to come.

The Prodigal

So begins the most famous parable Jesus told, an essential tale of a father’s unyielding love for two very different sons.

The parable is nestled in a discourse about finding what is lost. If you had 100 sheep and lost one, said Jesus, would you not leave the 99 behind to look for the one, and when you found it, would you not rejoice? And if you had ten silver coins and lost one, would you not search carefully for the one that’s missing, and rejoice when you found it?

One out of a hundred sheep is valuable, one of ten coins more so. those two stories merely set the stage for what comes next: If a father a son, and then - miracle of miracles - found him again, would he rejoice? As you’ll see, it all depends on whom you ask.

LIFELINES

LIFELINES are invaluable for you...because they add value to you!

You will discover that every LifeLine you establish will serve as a guardrail that protects you and a guidewire that directs you. We all need to be protected at times. We need protection from other people who will try to harm us. And we need protection from ourselves when we forget how to make healthy decisions. Those are the times a good guardrail reminds me that we are valuable...valuable to ourselves, to people and to God. That we are worth protecting!

And who doesn’t require daily direction? Guidewires that direct us make a statement about who I am. And solidify why I am. These guidewires you will hold onto help you remember you really have a purpose given to you by God.

They maintain that you are important to yourself, to people and to God. That God put you on the planet to be a part of something that is bigger than yourself.

Men Who Win

Why do some men have lives where everything they touch seems successful, while others struggle to get traction and find direction?

What sets a man apart and makes him distinct from the crowd? How do you move from the state toward next level living?

Drawing upon his experience as a leader, pastor, visionary and life coach, Mark Evans tackles those questions and more in this book.

Learn how to get up when life knocks you down, how to stay focused as you pursue your goals, how to see beyond the obvious and actually enjoy your life. In an easy to read, motivational style Mark weaves stories from the Scripture through an examination of the essential strategies that are foundational to a successful life.

Each chapter concludes with a series of questions that make this the perfect book for discussion in small group settings.

Take charge of your life. Live as you were intended to live, a life of focus, direction, purpose and fulfillment.

Join the ranks of men who win — and begin to move today toward the outstanding life for which you were created!

About Mark Evans

Mark Evans understands people. For thirty years, he’s been helping people from all walks of life make the most of their life in their relationships, personal lives, and careers.

Mark’s life has been one unique opportunity after another. As a teenager, he worked as the Clubhouse Manager for the Arkansas Travelers, a minor league professional baseball team. There, he learned the meaning of hard work, long hours, and how to get along with people from all types of different backgrounds.

During college, Mark worked as a personal and research assistant for the Arkansas Secretary of State, frequently traveling with him to official engagements throughout the state. That job offered Mark unique insights into the lives of people who serve people and the struggles of having to make tough decisions.

After a career in Student Ministry wrapped up in Florida, Mark returned to his home state in 1995 to start a new church concept in Little Rock. From an opening day membership of 24 people, the church has grown to over 5,000 members in the last two decades — and, in the process, has sharpened and further developed Mark’s leadership skills and insights.

What sets Mark apart is that he deals with real life issues — the ones we all face, but seldom talk about. Mark deals with life as it really is — even the messy parts. His practical insights and down-to-earth approach helps make the Bible come alive to everyday life.

Mark and his wife Terri have been married 32 years. They love spending time with their children, Austin and daughter-in-law Jenny, Haley and son-in-law Steven…and are loving life as grandparents to Ruthie Jane Reynolds and Brayden Mark Evans!
