About Mark Evans

It’s safe to say that Mark Evans has seen it all — from cradle to grave and everything in between. As the founding pastor of a church that has grown into one of the most ministry-driven congregations in the country, Mark has been a trusted advisor to people from all walks of life. With sharp insights honed from decades of leading others to achieve their full, God-given potential, coupled with unparalleled communication skills, Mark is a ready resource for both seasoned and newly appointed leaders from all walks of life. Tap into the experience Mark has accumulated from a lifetime of working with people, and discover the hidden resources laying dormant within you that are just waiting to be ushered into the realm of the possible!

Although he’s most commonly known for his role as the founder and senior pastor of the Church at Rock Creek, Mark is also a small business owner. Acting upon his lifelong interest in men’s fashion, in 2017, Mark purchased a men’s clothing store in the Heights neighborhood of Little Rock and began the process of relaunching it as the premier destination for the latest looks and trends. Taking on a small store with a great history but a struggling stockroom required Mark to make tough decisions and take risks on a daily basis—just like every other small business owner has to do.

Applying the principles he’s learned over a lifetime of coaching and leading others, Mark’s creative approach and consistent messaging have paid off, not only by being named the “Best of the Best” and the “Best of Biz” but also in bottom-line results, emerging from the pandemic with a year of sales that were 20% higher than any other year in the store’s 60-year history.

Mark also makes time for community involvement beyond his role at the church. Recognizing that systemic poverty is a very real problem that directly impacts kids and their ability to learn and grow, he founded the non-profit organization Feed Arkansas Kids to help children who qualify for school nutrition programs also have food to eat on the weekends.

Throughout the school year, Feed Arkansas Kids provides backpacks full of nutritious food to send home with over 1,600 kids who might not otherwise have food to eat for those two days that they’re not at school. As the primary fundraiser for Feed Arkansas Kids, Mark actively puts his heart on display to help hungry children while encouraging others to get involved and make a real, tangible difference for those in need.

Mark and his wife, Terri, have been married for 38 years. They love spending time with their adult children and their spouses, as well as with their three grandchildren.
